What Ontario wines are in the 2006 wine awards?
There are a ton of wines in the Ontario wine awards; far too many to mention. More
importantly you should be checking the list of Ontario award winning wines.
How does a wine get picked to be part of the 2006 Ontario Wine Awards?
Ontario wines are not pick to be part of the Ontario Wine Awards, instead the winery
has to register their wines. Ontario produces a lot of wine every year and it is up
to the wineries to tell the Wine Awards people which ones should be tested!
How many awards will be given out at the 2006 Ontario Wine Awards?
There are 25 different categories that will receive awards in 2006. Each category in the
Ontario Wine Awards will have three medals, gold, silver, and bronze. That bring the total
number of awards up to 75! A good challenge for 2007, try and taste them all!
Can I vote for my favorite Ontario wine?
Not officially but I by this time next year my site will have a voting system to vote for
the 'people' championship of Ontario wine. Check out the page for the

When did the Ontario Wine Awards get started?
The Ontario Wine Awards were started in 1995 by
Tony Aspler. He started the wine awards with a vision of vaulting Ontario wines into
the some of the most revered in the world.
