Where is most South African Wine produced?
Most Wine in South Africa is produced in the area around Cape Town. Cape Town
is located on the south-west edge of South Africa. There is over 100,200 hectares
of grapes planed in South Africa.
Where can I find South African wine in Ontario?
Of course, the LCBO will have a selection of South African wines.

How do I find a job in the South African wine industry?
If you have a favorite winery you should contact them first. It is also a good idea
to attend wine events in the area to meet other people in the wine industry. If you aren't
in South Africa, find a South African Wine group in your city.
What is the best grape that South Africa grows?
Would you be surprise to know that white wine are more populus in South Africa
than red wines? The top grape is Steen, otherwise known as Chenin Blanc. Good producers
are making top quality dry wines from this grape. Another grape gaining some raves is Sauvignon
Blanc, producing whites that are dry and crisp, yet rounder than many of its Southern Hemisphere
counterparts. For South African red wines, the top grapes are Syrah/Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon (& blends)
and Pinotage. Cabernet Sauvignon and Bordeaux blends have long been the favorite and most-produced,
but South African Shiraz is becoming more popular as wineries crank out high quality wines from the
variety.
Is there a lot of South Africa wines available in Canada?
Unfortunately, there aren't a lot of South African wines in the Canadian wine market. More
and more wine importers are importing South African wines.
